ContractPal is an online transaction platform. It provides everything needed to perform an online transaction in a secure and compliant environment. ContractPal authenticates each user, manages the transaction process, creates an audit trail and applies digital signatures to electronically signed documents.

Starting a Transaction

A participant clicks a link in an email or web page. The transaction is executed within a web browser. The participant may be required to login with a username and password depending on the authentication requirements.

Transaction Roles

As each participant enters a transaction, a role is assigned. The role acts as an identifier. Roles are used to control the presentation of documents, filter sensitive content and enables electronic signing of documents.

Access Transactions

You may access any transaction you have an assigned role by logging into the Console.

Profiles

Profiles contain information about a user's authentication, granted permissions and an electronic signature. There are two types of profiles: personal and enterprise profiles.

Personal

A personal profile is created by default when an account is created. An enterprise profile is created to associate users to an enterprise account. After having a profile you can participate in transactions. Profiles are used to manage information related to an account.

Enterprise

An enterprise (or "company") is organized by creating an enterprise profile for each user. Enterprise profiles enable users to work together developing, managing and marketing online transaction processes (Pals). An enterprise (or "company") is organized by creating an enterprise profile for each user. Enterprise profiles have associated permisions that can enable access to Pal development tools, data export services and enterprise administration.

Permissions

Permissions grant rights to perform tasks and duties related to the Enterprise, development and managing templates. Permissions are managed by the Enterprise Admin. The Admin can add or revoke permissions.

Sign a Document

Each participant is granted an electronic signature associated with their personal profile. The electronic signature identifies the participant that appends the signature and indicates his/her agreement to the content of a document in the same way as a handwritten signature. ContractPal has three types of electronic signatures: click, image and audio. The electronic signature is sealed by a "digital signature" which applies cryptographic techniques to a document to seal the transaction. Once the document has been signed changes can be detected by applying a process that verifies the integrity of that transaction.
